Chaps Barbershop is located on Jetty Road, Brighton.
We offer a range of services priced by hair length including:
- Haircuts for short and long hair
- Beard trims and shape-ups to classic hot towel shaves.
- Wash and style services
- Kids haircuts from as young as just a few months.
- Sensory and special needs services
Chaps is a play on the British term for a boy or man. However, Chaps does not just appeal to males, with our Barbers catering to all genders. They will also go above and beyond to help anyone of any age along with making those with ASD and any other special needs, feel comfortable and included. Their values are to provide a high-end service in an all-inclusive, relaxed and fun environment.
Expect to have a laugh with a drink in hand and come out looking and feeling great.

Chaps Barbershop Brighton has a warm and welcoming atmosphere as soon as you walk in. The staff are very friendly and my barber, Keisha, is particularly good at giving me my favourite regular haircut. I also recently opted to try a new style, and with a lack of direction and information from me (because I was not exactly sure how to articulate the look), Keisha was able to provide me with options and give me the look exactly how I envisioned it. I highly recommend Chaps Barbershop Brighton and Keisha.

My teenage son has severe anxiety, ADHD and sensory issues and has always struggled with haircuts, has had a couple of poor experiences in the past too. I did some research and saw that Chaps offered a sensory friendly appointment so I booked it. The barber Dean was fabulous. Understanding, patient, kind and really made an effort to make my son feel comfortable. He went above and beyond, explained everything he was going to do in detail, checked in regularly and really listened to what my son said. It was an awesome experience. Cannot recommend these guys enough. My son keeps saying how happy he is and that he can’t wait to go back. It was so much more than just a haircut to us. Thank you Dean and Chaps. We will definitely be back.

I've never been to Chaps before but was definitely pleasently surprised.From the aesthetic of the shop, the vibe of the atmosphere, to the barbers the themselves. It's a big 5 star from me. - I had booked myself in to get a haircut from Samuel & hands down it was the best haircut I've gotten. Samuel was very detailed in his work and provided commentary on what he was doing while cutting my hair. Finding a barber who listens is very rare! so I will 100% be coming back to Samuel.

My partner has had long hair for the last 12 years, after a bad side shave at a different barber, he decided to go short and grow it out. He was still pretty nervous about it considering how long he’s had long hair and the past experience. We saw Sam in Chaps Brighton and were BLOWN AWAY! This young man showed absolutely amazing levels of care and passion in his role. He somehow knew exactly the right amount of information to give my partner to keep him from being anxious and also not overwhelm him. Ryan is the best hairdresser I’ve ever come across!! I usually get a Neymar V sort of haircut, but I was trying sooo many places before I came across him because nobody could do a good even fade or a good job on the top of the head.
